Science teaching at Heybridge Primary School aims to give all children a strong understanding of the world around them whilst acquiring specific skills and knowledge to help them to think scientifically, to gain an understanding of scientific processes and an understanding of the uses and implications of Science, today and for the future.

The science curriculum at Heybridge provides full coverage of the National Curriculum and builds both children’s substantive and disciplinary knowledge in a systematic, progressive, authentic and enjoyable way. We want our children to have no limits to what their scientific ambitions are.
