A warm welcome to Heybridge Primary School website. 

We are a two form entry Primary school in the heart of the large village of Heybridge and civil parish of the Maldon district of Essex.  It is adjacent to the town of Maldon, near the river Blackwater and home to the beautiful Heybridge Basin.

Thank you for your interest in Heybridge Primary School; a school within a large Multi Academy Trust called The Kemnal Academy Trust (TKAT)  #oneTKATfamily.

Our expansive school grounds offer a rich learning environment, extending and deepening what can be taught indoors. Importantly, the 2 large playgrounds and substantial school field are also a place of play – the foremost way in which children engage and learn about the world around them. As our children spend more time being sedentary, indoors and alone, the opportunities to socialise, be active and engage with nature have never been more important.

In our beautiful Forest School area, classes take turns to explore woodland and the natural environment to foster a lifelong relationship between the learner and the natural world. Forest School uses a range of learner-centred processes to create a community for being, development and learning.
